Erin and Justin lived in Ohio but they wanted to plan an Estes Park Destination Wedding. Erin worked at the YMCA of the Rockies for one summer and knew that was where she wanted to get married. Since Erin was in school for Nursing, her mom Sandy was doing all the planning. Sandy called me overwhelmed with planning a wedding from another state. When I talked to her, she described a beautiful yet simple wedding for their closest family and friends.
Erin loved the color purple, so we incorporated simple purple flowers with a modern twist. The rustic vibe of the YMCA fit perfectly with the theme. The wedding took place at the Overlook chapel on the grounds of the YMCA. This ceremony spot is quite possibly the most remarkable ceremony spot in all of Estes Park!
The entire month of May had horrible rain, and today looked like a storm was inevitable. We hoped and wished all day for no rain, and once the ceremony began, the impeding weather took a turn and went a different direction and missed the wedding entirely. What a relief!
The reception continued in the Pines room at the YMCA. Followed by endless dancing! I think my favorite part of the entire night was hearing the whole wedding singing the Ohio State fight Song! Thank you to Hillside Photography for the beautiful photos and congrats to the lovely couple! Go O-H-I-O!
