Wedding Color Palettes

If you’re recently engaged, one of the first decisions you’ll want to make is deciding on a color palette for your wedding. This will influence your invitation design, bridesmaids’ dresses, bouquets, table linens and so much more! It will also help you to create the feel of your wedding – whether it’s romantic, timeless, elegant, rustic, vintage, or whimsical – having a color palette that’s carried throughout all of the details of your wedding will create a cohesive feel for you and your guests!

Now let’s take a look at five of our favorite wedding color palettes!

If you’re looking for a timeless color palette, you can’t go wrong with black, white, and gold! Aly and Tanner’s Vail wedding reception was decorated to the nines with white florals, gold-rimmed plates, black silverware, and black wooden name cards. If you’re looking for a romantic, whimsical feel – a mauve and purple-toned color palette may be right for you! Jen’s bridesmaids were dressed in soft neutral-toned dresses that paired perfectly with the bright-colored blooms in their bouquets. If you’d like to see the full wedding gallery click here.

Lily and Christian’s Steamboat wedding showcased a natural color palette featuring terracotta, mauve, and burnt orange with black and dark green accents. This color palette is for you if you’re looking for a tasteful feel that pairs well with modern touches. You can view the rest of their wedding gallery here.

4. White, Dusty Rose, and Sage

We love the romantic and timeless feel of a white, dusty rose, and sage color palette like Jenna and Austin’s Steamboat Springs wedding. The design was clean and simple but beautifully highlighted the soft pink accents. To see more photos from their day check out their gallery here.

5. White, Dusty Blue, and Navy

There’s something beautifully classic about a dusty blue accent color paired with white and navy. This color palette is timeless and will look especially beautiful at an outdoor venue with lush greenery – as it did here at Sweet Heart Winery.
